Ashley is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Architecture, Technology and Environments at The Leicester School of Architecture, Ð԰ɵç̨. Having previously worked for Thomas Heatherwick Studio in London, and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios in Bath, Ashley has worked on significant contemporary buildings in major cities here in the UK and worldwide.

In recent years, as ATE Lead, Ashley has helped the School of Architecture to develop its pedagogic approach to integrated technology and how the new curriculum teaches students about climate literacy, across BA and MA courses. Ashley is module lead for the MA Live Build, research led, practical skills module, focused on thinking through making, that gives students the opportunity to design, prototype, and build at 1:1 on a site off-campus, working in collaboration with The National Forest.
