Personal profile

Kate Pleace is a Senior Women’s Health Nurse specialising in Fertility and the Menopause. Kate has worked in this area since 2007 at two fertility clinics and also independently providing consultations to patients and training and workshops to healthcare professionals. Kate completed her MSc in Reproductive Medicine in 2021 and has recently started her PhD on a part time basis focusing on women’s lived experiences of a premature menopause. Passionate, enthusiastic, and caring her mission is to share knowledge, educate and support both patients and her fellow health care professionals

PhD project abstract

Despite significant progress in the area of reproductiveendocrinology our understanding of POI is limited, and the areais greatly under researched. Change is needed in POI,research, patient care and support as well as a coordinatedapproach to care. A woman diagnosed with the conditionrequires integrated care for both her physical, reproductive, andmental health.
