Terms and Conditions

International Scholarships and Discounts

1. The Global Access Award is available to new international students starting on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught course of study. The value of the award is determined from time to time, and will be advertised on the university website. 

2. To be eligible, an applicant must (i) have received an offer to study on a full-time course, starting in September 2025 or January 2026 and (ii) have accepted their offer, and (iii) have paid a deposit by the date stated on the international page. The Global Access Award is applied and deducted from outstanding fees once a deposit payment is received.

3. International scholarships and discounts are only available to students who are assessed by Ð԰ɵç̨ as having overseas international student status and who pay overseas international rate tuition fees.

4. Awards will not be applied to courses with fees lower than the lowest standard international fee.

5. International Year Zero, International First Year, International Second Year, International Foundation Certificate and Incorporated Master’s applicants are not eligible for Ð԰ɵç̨ discounts or scholarships, but may be eligible to apply for Ð԰ɵç̨ International College awards.

6. Discounts are not available to students continuing and/or progressing from International Year Zero, International First Year, International Second Year, International Foundation Certificate and Incorporated Master’s courses including Ð԰ɵç̨ International College, to Ð԰ɵç̨ courses, but may be eligible to apply for Ð԰ɵç̨ International College awards.

7. Decisions made by the Ð԰ɵç̨ International Office regarding eligibility for all discounts and scholarships are final. Awards are made at the full and sole discretion of Ð԰ɵç̨.  

8. Ð԰ɵç̨ will use its website to advertise the terms and conditions in relation to this award. 

9. All Scholarship and Discount award will be invalid to an applicant whose deposit payment is paid or received by Ð԰ɵç̨ after the deadline date stated on the international page. Ð԰ɵç̨ strongly advises all applicants to check the international scholarships and discounts webpages carefully before making a deposit payment.

10. The Global Access Award will be given as tuition fee remission and will only be awarded during the first year of study for students entering Level 5 and 6. Students who enter Level 4 will be eligible to have the award applied recurrently in subsequent years of study (i.e. Level 5 and 6). The Global Access Award will not cover more than 3 years of study unless the program of study is the MPharm or a MEng variant in which cases 4 years are applicable.  

11. The Global Access Award is not applicable in any circumstances for repeated academic years. The scholarship is only applied where a student has successfully progressed from the previous academic year can the scholarship be applied recurrently.

12. The Global Partnerships Award will be given as tuition fee remissions and will only be awarded during the first year of study for students entering any level of an undergraduate program.

13. Successful award holders of the Global Partnerships Award who enter Level 4 will also be eligible for the Global Access Award recurrently in up to 2 subsequent years of study (i.e. Level 5 and 6).  The Global Access Award will not cover more than 3 years of study unless the program of study is the MPharm or a MEng variant in which cases 4 years are applicable. 

14. Applications for the Global Partnerships Award will be accepted by students meeting the defined criteria on the International Scholarships page. Students must submit an application by the advertised deadline to be considered. Award winners will be notified no later than 1 August 2025.

15. The Global Partnerships Award winners will be decided by a diverse panel of Ð԰ɵç̨ Staff. The panel’s decision is final.

16. Only students originating from Ð԰ɵç̨’s defined list of progression and TNE partners are eligible to apply for the Global Partnerships Award. Applications from students who have not studied at one of the defined list of progression and TNE partners are ineligible and will have their scholarship application rejection. Students must have been an actively registered student within the last 3 years of an eligible partner to be considered.

17. Successful Global Partnerships Award winners who enrol onto their program at Ð԰ɵç̨ are required to commit no more than 10hrs over the course of the first year of study to marketing purposes led by Ð԰ɵç̨.

18. The Full Fee Payment Discount will be given as tuition fee remissions and will only be awarded during the first year of study for students entering all levels of study (level 4, 5, 6 and 7). Student must pay the total tuition fee minus any eligible scholarship to be eligible for the award.

19. All international scholarship and discount awards are not transferable and cannot be deferred to an earlier or later start date. 

20. Postgraduate Research (PHD, DBA, MPhil) applicants are not eligible for and internal scholarships or discounts.

21. Students transferring from Ð԰ɵç̨ Kazakhstan are not eligible for the Global Access Award however may apply for Global Partnerships Award

22. A student can only be in receipt of one Ð԰ɵç̨ scholarship and one discount. Students who meet the eligibility criteria for more than one of the scholarships will be awarded the scholarship which is the most beneficial to them. The beneficial scholarship will be decided by Ð԰ɵç̨. The exception to this condition are successful Global Partnership award winners and the Global Access Award as described in point 13.

23. No cash alternatives will be offered.

24. Awards cannot be transferred to another recipient.

25. Only self-funded students are eligible for scholarships and discounts. Students in receipt of any type of sponsorship or third-party funding will not be eligible.

26. Ð԰ɵç̨ reserves the right to cancel any award at any time which has been claimed fraudulently including on the basis of provision of false information to claim the award, and to apply the full tuition fee. If an award is found to have been claimed fraudulently, the award amount will be added to the student’s university account and must be paid in full before the end of the student’s course.

27. Where a student who has been awarded the Global Partnership and/or the Global Access Award terminates or interrupts their studies prior to the completion of their first year of study, the award will be pro-rated, based on the student’s last date of attendance.

28. Recipients of a scholarship or discount must have no outstanding debt to the university at the point of the International Scholarship being awarded. 

29. By accepting any scholarship, students agree to accept these full terms, conditions and rules of the scholarship and agree to abide by the university rules and any requirements and/or proceedings issued by Ð԰ɵç̨ in relation to the scholarship.
