International students rank Ð԰ɵç̨ number one in the world

International students have ranked Ð԰ɵç̨ Leicester (Ð԰ɵç̨) as the best university in the world for overall average student satisfaction.

The result came in the recent International Student Barometer (ISB) – the world largest international student survey.

ISB

The survey tracks and benchmarks international student opinion across the entire student journey, providing universities with data and insights to develop a world-class student experience.

Students from 24 countries take part across all levels and years of study, giving feedback on things like academic quality, employability and wellbeing.

Each university is assigned an overall average satisfaction score, averaged from results across several aspects of experience, including arrival, learning, living and support.

Ð԰ɵç̨’s score of 92.7% for this was the highest in the world, ranking it ahead of 117 other institutions taking part, 30 of which are from the UK.

Vicky Chadderton, deputy director international at Ð԰ɵç̨, said: “We are so pleased with these results.

“International students have such a positive impact here in Leicester, they are so important to us here at Ð԰ɵç̨ so to know that our efforts to give them the best possible experience are recognised is very rewarding.”

Asked an individual question about overall satisfaction, students at Ð԰ɵç̨ rated the university at 92.3%, 2.2% up on last year and 2.4% higher than the UK average.

And in three of the main themes – overall learning, overall happiness and career goal preparation – Ð԰ɵç̨ scored the highest results in the UK.

In total, of the eight themes students were asked about, Ð԰ɵç̨ was ranked in the UK top five for seven of them.

In other areas, the university’s worship facilities, which includes a fully refurbished prayer room, were rated by students at 96.7%, the highest score in the world.

And students scored Ð԰ɵç̨ the highest in the UK for many other aspects of their experience, like the opportunity to experience the culture of the UK, the quality and cost of accommodation, the teaching ability of lecturers, advice and support, and the academic content of courses.

Ð԰ɵç̨ welcomes thousands of international students to its Leicester campus each year, and will later this year open the doors of Ð԰ɵç̨ London, its new campus, based in the heart of the world-famous capital. Apply here now
