There will be a 'soft closure' in place on Western Boulevard from The Newarke Junction up to Tesco Express. Students driving to Bede House and the Leicester Media School Car park will have to stop at a stewarted point here, where access will then be permitted. A one-way system will be in operation so drivers leaving both car parks will need to leave along the entry route towards the Braunstone Gate/New Parks Street junction.

Students arriving at Bede Hall will need to access the Bede Hall Car Park via Upperton Road.

Students arriving at New Wharf Hall will need to access The Venue Car Park from the top end of Western Boulevard (Braunstone Gate/New Parks Street junction) using Narborough Road/Hinckley Road if travelling from the M1.

The clousre is a result of the works taking place near the Mill Lane/ Eastern Boulevard/ Grasmere Street junction as part of the Leciester City Council Improvement Scheme.
